The subject includes a review of selected problems, including applied research methods, occurring in the discipline of legal science.

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes:
- providing advanced knowledge on selected, contemporary trends in the development of legal sciences and a discussion on their evolution;
- obtaining knowledge of the basic methods of jurisprudence, contemporary theoretical and methodological trends and the direction of development of legal sciences;
- presentation of selected theoretical concepts by historical and contemporary representatives of the world jurisprudence.
Assessment criteria
Description of requirements related to participation in classes, including the permitted number of explained absences: participation in classes (permissible absences: 3)
Principles for passing the classes and the subject (including resit session): preparation and presentation of a presentation on a selected topic (as an introduction to the discussion) or preparation of a written work (scientific article).
Methods for the verification of learning outcomes: activity during the discussion / correctness of the statement and quality of the presentation / evaluation of the written work in terms of content and form.

Bibliography
A detailed list of publications will be presented during the course (partly on the basis of the discussion and the subject of the prepared doctoral dissertations).
