Private law, as a law provided for individual actors, goes beyond state borders. The phenomenon of globalisation in world’s economy, communication and technologies, mass mobility of peoples and increasing interdependencies, leads to internationalisation of issues, which have seemed to belong merely to national or local sphere of interest. In this course following topics will be discussed in detail i.a.:
• Basic Notions: Transnational law, Global law, Comparative law.
• Globalisation(s) in Time
• Comparative law, Transnational law and Global (World’s) Law.
• Factors of Legal Transnationalisation.
• Global Legal Education
• Language(s) of Law.

Learning outcomes
The effects of learnign will be understanding of basic notions pertaining to Transnational law and of the mechanisms of the modern legal developments.
Assessment criteria
• The lecture is held once a week for 90 minutes.
• Only 1 unexcused absence is allowed.
• The activity and preparation for the lessons and during the lessons is evaluated.
• There is one oral test during the course checking your knowledge.
• The final note outcome is influenced by following factors: test outcome, presence at the lessons and general attitude towards the course.
