Classes include the following range of topics:
1. Real estate market (division of the market according to various criteria, functional types of real estate, factors shaping the real estate market)
2. Value of real estate (types of property values)
3. Property valuation (approaches, methods, techniques, appraisal report, property appraiser)
4. Real estate brokerage and property management
5. Legal aspects of the functioning of individual real estate markets:
- commercial real estate market (retail real estate market, office, industrial, warehouse and logistics, hotel, senior housing, dormitories, etc.),
- housing market (commercial market, rental housing market, cooperative housing, social and communal housing),
- agricultural real estate market,
- other areas (segments) of the real estate market.
6. Structures of contracts characteristic for particular segments of the real estate market (e.g.: triple-net lease, development contract, a flat rental agreement).
7. Special conditions (restrictions) in trade of agricultural properties and shares and stocks in commercial law companies that are owners or perpetual usufructiaries of agricultural real estate.

Learning outcomes
1. Knowledge of basic and specific institutions of real estate law and processes taking place on the contemporary real estate market.
2. Knowledge of the sources of law in the field of real estate trading.
3. Ability to define basic and specific real estate law institutions.
4. Ability to reconstruct and apply the legal regulations regarding real estate trading, as well as formulate student's own conclusions and opinions based on the acquired knowledge.
5. Knowledge in the field of competences and rights of persons professionally involved in the real estate market.
Assessment criteria
continuous assessment (current preparation for classes and activity), attendance check and, upon student's choice: oral exam, essay, presentation during classes on the agreed subject
