The following issues will be analyzed in more detail during the seminar:
I. Evolution of the concept of legal subjectivity:
1) Legal subjectivity of artificial intelligence,
2) Chimeras and hybrids as subjects of law,
3) The use of electronic systems supporting organs in human functioning (humanoids),
4) Artificial intelligence as an author in copyright law?
II. Personality as a protected good
1) DNA as an object of trade - the scope of permissible interference,
2) Responsibility for a processed biological product (GMO),
3) Privacy and technologies (identification, the so-called social credit system, cookies, the right to be forgotten).
4) Liability of digital content providers under the provisions on the protection of personal rights,
III. Civil law turnover with the use of modern technologies
1) Submitting declarations of will, concluding contracts and distorting the content of declarations using modern technologies,
2) Blockchain, smart contracts and their use in civil law transactions,
3) Trading in financial instruments (dematerialized) and the concept of a security,
4) Cryptocurrencies and electronic quasi-money (Bitcoin etc.) and legal means of payment in civil law transactions.
IV. Civil law liability for the operation of autonomous systems
1) Liability for damage caused with the use of robots,
2) tort liability using the so-called autonomous vehicles,
3) The consumer as a protected entity on digital platforms, in particular distance selling.
