1 Lecture.
Introduction. Explanation of the rules for passing and taking the final exam. Discussion of the lecture program. Discussion of the nature of the written exam - test with closed and open questions.

Importance of the policies of the European Union. Classification of EU policies with regard to the treaty basis by division Principles of implementation of EU policies.
3 Lecture
Different systematizations of EU policies. Scope and diversity of EU policies, degree of EU involvement in individual policies. Europeanization of policies.
4 Lecture
Coordination of EU policies. Models of creation and implementation of EU policies.
New methods of creating EU policies: open coordination and delegation, extra-legal norms, soft law vs. hard law.
5 Lecture
Budgetary policy.
Evolution of financing principles Shaping the EU budget - existing principles. Reform of the financing mechanism of the EU budget. Revenues of the EU budget.
6 Lecture
Evolution of the Multiannual Financial Framework of the European Union. Change in the structure of spending vs. increase or decrease in importance of individual EU policies.
7 Lecture
Modernization of the EU and EU development strategies. Concept of modernization, EU modernization goals. Europe 2020 strategy - Strategy for gaining competitive advantage.
8 -9 Lecture
European Green Deal and Fit for 55 package and implementation of EU policies (primacy of climate policy). Plans for the new EC 2024-2029

Stabilization and anti-crisis measures in the European Union
Excessive deficit procedure. European Semester -- a method of interaction between member states and EU institutions in the plane of agreeing on economic plans and policies- distinguishing stages, participants and their tasks and decision-making capabilities.

Student
- Has knowledge in a selected section on the functioning of the European Union in the areas of selected policies and interrelationships between countries in the area of selected EU policies [K_W06].
- Has knowledge of the economic and social aspects of the integration of the European Union member states and the impact of the European Union [K_W07].
- Knows the basic views on the functioning of the European Union in the areas of selected EU policies, understands the interrelationships [K_W12].
SKILLS
Student
- is able to analyze social processes and phenomena and relations between areas: cultural, political,
legal, economic in Europe and within European countries in selected areas of EU policies [K_U01].
He/she is able to analyze structures and institutions, especially political, economic, national, supranational and EU in relation to their
national and international environment in selected EU policy areas [K_U02, K_U04].
- Analyzes solutions to selected problems in the social, political, economic areas of the European Union and Europe and
proposes appropriate solutions in this area [K_U07].
- prepares written statements based on literature in accordance with academic standards [K_U09].
- prepares individual or team oral speeches, presents and interprets research results [K_U08, K_U10].

Assessment criteria
The prerequisite for taking the EXAM is to pass the exercises.
The written exam is conducted on the day of the session. It covers issues discussed during exercises and lectures.
Passing the exercises depends on meeting the following criteria during the course: attendance, current
current preparation, activity in class, completion of specific tasks and the final colloquium.

development of a selected issue in the form of a multimedia presentation, presentation to the group + discussion starter
3. activity in class
The grade “bdb” from the exercises increases the exam grade by one degree, provided that the student has obtained the minimum number of points to pass the exam.
Written exam in the form of a test with open and closed questions, single and multiple choice, covering the topics of exercises and lectures.
