Familiarizing students with the principles, methods, and effects of the functioning of the European market. The emphasis is placed on the four freedoms of the internal market: their legal and economic frameworks.
1. History of the formation of the single internal market and the EU's common trade policy.
2. Institutions and decision-making mechanisms in the area of the JRW and WPH.
3. Free movement of goods and capital in the EU.
4. Freedom of establishment and freedom to provide services in the EU.
5. Free movement of workers, mutual recognition of diplomas, posting of workers.
6. Digital single market and internal energy market.
7. Intellectual, commercial, and industrial property.
8. Instruments of the EU's common commercial policy.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
-the student has knowledge of the principles, legal basis, mechanisms, and economic effects of the functioning of the EU internal market. In particular, they know and understand the mechanism of the four economic freedoms of the European market and its effects on EU member states and external partners.
They are able to identify the legal basis for the functioning of the Single Internal Market and the Common Commercial Policy of the European Union, and have knowledge of the basic terms related to this.
They recognize the main opportunities and threats associated with the functioning of the “euro zone” in the EU. They will know the rules for taking up employment, education, running a business in the JRW area, as well as
the objectives, principles, and rules of EU trade policy.
Skills:
-has the ability to prepare typical written works on issues related to internal markets,
-properly uses basic terminology related to the internal market.
- explains the specifics of how economic entities operate in the so-called Euro market, is able to interpret and assess the main directions of socio-economic and financial development in the European Union.
- has the ability to interpret the contemporary conditions for running one's own business or taking up employment in the EU.
- is able to use the basic conceptual framework related to the subject matter of the course, develops creative thinking by making their own assessments and forecasts, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of the subject matter.
- is able to use the basic conceptual framework related to the subject matter, develops creative thinking, makes their own assessments and forecasts, and knows the advantages and disadvantages of economic solutions implemented in the EU.
Social competences – Students:
- are active in independently expanding their knowledge of the principles of undertaking activities in the EU internal market.
- is ready to act creatively based on the professional development opportunities offered by the Single Internal Market.
- when working in a group, is able to express their opinion, lead a discussion, propose their own or the best solutions to contemporary problems of the European Union; develops teamwork skills and the ability to reach a common position.
Assessment criteria
Participation in discussions, presentations, group work, final exam, attendance.
