Politics and society in the US and Canada 2104-M-D4WUSK-SRG
The subject is intended to familiarize students with issues related to the politics and societies of the USA and Canada, both from a historical and contemporary perspective. The most important historical events that influenced the development of the United States and Canada will be discussed (including the evolution of borders, waves of migration, and the growth of economic power). In addition, the issues of institutional and legal development of the United States and Canada as well as political culture and the most important socio-demographic aspects that influenced the development of the United States and Canada will be outlined. The topic of art and culture of both countries as well as the development of their media system will also be discussed.
