The history of European integration proves that states decided to conduct more or less advanced forms of cooperation. Classes focus on discussing the policies of today's EU. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the assumptions of a given policy, methods of its implementation, and the effects of functioning. Many of the EU's policies not only concern the EU's internal affairs, but also have an external dimension, which is also the subject of classes. Classes are devoted to topics such as:
1.Introduction to classes, discussion of the rules for passing the course. Chapter of papers, features of a good presentation
2. Shaping EU policies in EU treaties
3. Trade policy
4. Common market and EU competition policy
5.-6. Agricultural policy
7. Fisheries policy
8 Environmental policy
9. Energy and climate policy
10-11. Cohesion policy
12. Transport policy
13. Social, Employment policy
14. Education policy
15. Test with open and closed questions

After completing the course, the student:
Knowledge:
- knows the functioning of EU policies
- understands the competences of the EU
- knows the main problems related to the functioning of EU policies
- has comprehensive knowledge of contemporary conditions for conducting EU policies
Skills:
- identifies key problems related to the functioning of EU policies
- knows how to define and justify the interests of member states in conducting EU policies
- can define the place and roles of the EU institutions in shaping EU policies
Competences:
- is prepared to work in institutions dealing with the issues of European integration
- is aware of the changes taking place in the EU
- can prepare and analyze a chosen research problem concerning EU policies
