Prerequisites (description)

The course is introductory and its aim is to provide students with basic information about the cultural and civilization specificity of the countries of the global South and to introduce them to their history.

Learning outcomes

Student should know the specificity, identity and significance - historical and contemporary - of individual civilizations within the global South.
The student should be able to indicate the characteristic features that determine the distinctiveness of individual civilizations. He should also be able to critically evaluate information and sources about political, cultural and economic situation in the global South.
