Analysis of relations between politics and economy in the international perspective. Genesis of International Political Economy (IPE) as a research area. Selected theoretical approaches of IPE, i.e. economic liberalism, economic nationalism, dependency theories. Evolution of post-war international economic order. Analysis of selected issues from the IPE area:
Genesis of geo-economics - ideological and material determinants; International production structures; -International trade structures; International financial structures; International knowledge and innovation structures; Liberalization and protectionism in state policy; Importance of the state brand; Role and importance of rules of origin of goods; International competitiveness policy; Geo-economic instruments in monetary and exchange rate policy of the state; Intellectual Property Protection Policy; Pro-export Policy, Economic Sanctions Policy; Geoeconomic Context of Development Assistance; State Property Funds; The State and Companies in the International Market; Geoeconomics of Energy Raw Materials; Geoeconomic Space of the United States; European Union - Soft Power; Geoeconomic Strategy of China: India geoeconomic emerging power; Geoeconomics logic and global governance; EU-US-China geoeconomic trilateralism

KNOWLEDGE
- has a detailed knowledge of the historical development of international political economics,
- characterises and explains the essential elements of the various theoretical approaches, i.e. economic liberalism, economic nationalism, dependency theory.
- has a detailed knowledge of the evolution of the post-war international economic order and is able to interpret it by referring to various theoretical approaches of international political economics
RECEPTIONS
- uses knowledge of international political economics to analyse in depth international economic relations
- has the ability to formulate views independently, support them with extensive arguments using a wide range of theoretical approaches and perspectives, formulate coherent conclusions and summarise them synthetically, using specialist language of theoretical approaches from the international political economy
SOCIAL COMPETENCE
- is prepared for work that requires competence in international economic policy

Assessment criteria
Students will be evaluated on the basis of their work throughout the semester. The final grade will consist of :
- attendance and activity during classes (two absences per semester possible);
- group work - presentations
- final test;
