Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student knows and understands:
- state and non-state actors in international relations;
- legal, socio-economic and political conditions for the development of international relations and international cooperation;
- the importance of individual regions of the world at an advanced level and the contemporary challenges characteristic of them
Can:
- correctly interpret political, economic, cultural, military and legal phenomena on a global scale, in selected regions and subregions of the world, as well as at the national level, using theoretical and empirical knowledge gained during studies, using information and communication techniques,
- substantively argue, formulate coherent conclusions using the specialized language of international relations science and related disciplines, for the purpose of communication with specialists in the field of discipline, as well as a wider audience
- plan and organize individual research work in the field of international relations science and cooperate with other people as part of teamwork on a given problem in the field of international relations
- independently plan, pursue your own educational goals, including, for example, making decisions about choosing the appropriate field of second-cycle studies.
- to competently analyze the political and economic situation in Europe from the end of World War II to the present day
- recognize the key events that constitute the main factors in the evolution of this situation;
- explain the real meaning of political decisions taken by various types of international bodies, whether in the form of international declarations or agreements;
- assess the importance of unilateral acts of individual states, especially superpowers, affecting the state of international relations in Europe.
He is ready to:
- critical evaluation of the knowledge and content received in the field of study;
- recognizing the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive problems in the field of international relations and consulting experts when they are needed to solve a given problem covering the subject of studies.
Assessment criteria
First attempt (during the last class): online test at the Kampus platform (20 multiple-choice questions)
Second attempt (during teacher's office hours): oral exam.
