- World War II and its consequences for strategy and strategic studies
- strategy of (Bolshevik) revolution and international communism
- containment strategies
- nuclear strategies (from deterrence to theoretical confusion)
- Coalition and allied strategies (collective entity)
- international security environment after the Cold War and its consequences for the problem of using force in SM
- analysis of the main conflicts of that time and conclusions
- The issue of state strategy and Polish tradition in this field.

The student knows and understands after the course:
- The most important facts, phenomena and problems in international relations,
- in an advanced degree of state and non-state actors of international relations,
- advanced selected issues of international security and state security strategy,
- contemporary threats to international security and issues of military cooperation between states and other entities,
Student can:
- correctly interpret political, economic, cultural, military and legal phenomena on a global scale, in selected regions and subregions of the world, as well as on a national level, using the theoretical and empirical knowledge gained during the course of study, in the use of information and communication technologies,
The student is ready to:
- Critical evaluation of their knowledge and received content in the field of study,
- organize activities to promote knowledge about the challenges in contemporary international relations, including those related to global issues
