4. The Council of Europe: European Social Charter – supervisory system, the collective complaints procedure, strenghts and weaknesses, the place of the ESC within the overall European human rights regime.
5. European Social Charter - categories of social rights and their protection: the right to work; the right to benefit from social assistance; rights of children and mothers; the right to vocational training&the right of migrant workers and their families to protection and assistance.
6. The European Union and social policy – historical development, policy-making.
7. The concept of the European Social Model, the EU’s role in promoting social dimension of globalization, social policy in the Lisbon strategy and the new EU strategy „Europe 2020“.
8. Fundamental social rights in the EU – healthcare, labour law (Community Charter of Fundamental Social Rights of Workers).
9. NGOs in international social policy – health service in Africa, mechanisms of NGO funding; ex. Oxfam.
