Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
-knows and understands the terminology of sustainable development; to an advanced degree, theoretical explanations of the processes relating to sustainable development taking place in international relations and methods and techniques of studying sustainable development in the perspective of international relations (K_W03);
- knows and understands the threats and challenges regarding the implementation of sustainable development for contemporary international relations and international security. (K_W04)
- is able to apply a variety of techniques, including information and communication techniques to pose advanced research problems, questions and hypotheses relating to sustainable development; seek innovative solutions to posed research problems in the field of sustainable development (K_U01)
- is able to form teams to solve advanced research problems related to sustainable development; plan and organize the work of such a team and cooperate actively with others (K_U03)
- is ready to prepare research and practical social projects related to the field of sustainable development in terms of international relations and effectively cooperating with other people, including obtaining knowledge from experts in the field of sustainable development (K_K01)
- is ready to take an active attitude towards the modern world, including local communities in the area of sustainable development. (K_K02)
- is ready to correctly identify and settle dilemmas related to taking action on the implementation of the concept of sustainable development (K_K04)
Assessment criteria
The grade is the result of the evaluation of the assignments given during the class and engagement in the course.
You should expect:
1 project (weight 0.4);
1 case study presentation ( weight 0.4)
At least one activity is based on the team work collaboration.
At least one task requires inclass oral activity.
Active participation (weight 0.2)
Required passing threshold of 55%
Attendance on at least 60% classes - preliminary condition of assessment.2 unjustified absences accepted.
The scale of grading:
55 % and more : 3 (passing/satisfactory)
65 % and more: 3+
75 %and more: 4 (good)
85 % and more: 4+
91 % and more: 5 (very good)
