Learning outcomes
The student demonstrates the ability to accurately use specialist terminology related
to the labour market, labour relations, and associated fields in both written and oral
communications in English. They can understand and interpret complex texts,
articles, and reports pertinent to the labour market and labour relations. Additionally,
the student can present complex ideas and concepts clearly and confidently in
English. They can produce clear, coherent, and well-organized written assignments,
including essays, reports, and summaries, on topics related to the labour market.
Assessment criteria
Teaching methods:
Flipped Classroom: Participants independently familiarize themselves with the
teaching material. During classes, they reinforce and practice it through discussions,
paraphrasing, formulating questions, summarizing, explaining issues, defining
terminology, comparing data, drawing conclusions, and critically analysing text in
both written and oral forms.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:
- Attendance and active participation in classes (2 unexcused absences
allowed)
- 3 short written assignments or in-class tests
- 5-minute presentation of a selected article on one of the syllabus topics in
English
- Final test (reading, lexical-grammatical structures, extended written response)
(minimum 60%)
