During the lectures, the following topics will be discussed:
History and areas of interest in business psychology.
Psychological diagnosis of behaviors and phenomenas in the area of business.
Perception of individuals in the business environment. Cognitive errors and distortions.
The impact of individual differences on functioning in the area of business.
Psychology of entrepreneurship and career development.
Psychological aspects of decision-making and risk.
Mechanisms of social functioning in organizations and work teams.
Conflicts and social dilemmas.
The role of culture in the area of business.
Managerial psychology.
Innovation, development, and the management of change.
Psychology of consumer behavior and marketing.
Deviant and dysfunctional behaviors in business.
Coping in crisis situations. The role of an individual's psychological condition.
The aim of the exercises is to develop the ability to apply psychological knowledge to analyze and understand mechanisms occurring in the area of business, as well as to discover and develop one's potential in this area.

In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands:
- K_W01 - Theoretical categories used in research on labor relations and industrial relations, including the area of business psychology.
- K_W04 - In-depth psychological mechanisms related to functioning in the area of business.
- K_W06 - Economic, social, legal, and ethical conditions of enterprise functioning, with particular emphasis on the impact of technological changes and their consequences, which concern the area of business psychology.
The student has knowledge of:
- methods for studying behaviors and phenomenas in the area of business psychology;
- factors affecting the interpretation of the environment, decision-making, and actions in the business environment;
- mechanisms of social functioning in organizations and work teams;
- the role of cultural factors in the area of business;
- psychological aspects of managerial roles;
- mechanisms related to company development and management of change;
- psychology of consumer behavior and marketing;
- dysfunctional behaviors in the business environment and coping in crisis situations.
In terms of skills, the student is able to:
- K_U02 - formulate, analyze, and solve problems related to the functioning of organizations in the context of labor relations and industrial relations, including areas of interest in business psychology.
- K_U04 - effectively present in oral and written form the results of their research and analysis in the area of labor relations and industrial relations, considering different groups of recipients;
- K_U08 - Plan and conduct negotiations in the field of employment relations and industrial relations.
In terms of social competences, the student is ready to:
- K_K03 - Responsibly and ethically perform professional roles in the area of labor relations and industrial relations, caring for the development of the profession and professional ethics, as well as professional self-development.
