The classes are intended to provide knowledge and develop skills in understanding and explaining reality on issues such as:
1. Employment policy: basic concepts, goals, instruments, indicators, scope of impact.
2. The state and structure of employment in Poland and around the world in the context of socio-economic changes.
3. The role of employment policy: problems, challenges.
4. European Employment Strategy.
5. National action plan for employment.
6. Employment policy in Poland in the light of the provisions of the Act on employment promotion and labor market institutions.
7. Flexible employment as an instrument to combat unemployment; flexicurity model.

Learning outcomes
The student has basic knowledge of employment policy in the aspect of social sciences - knows the basic concepts, theoretical concepts, goals and socio-economic changes affecting employment and unemployment. The student is able to identify and discuss key legal and institutional solutions in the area of employment policy at the EU and national level. In particular, he is able to analyze and explain employment-related activities and recognize the causes and effects of specific phenomena on the labour market.
The classes will be used to achieve the following learning outcomes specified in the study program:
KNOWLEDGE:
K_W01 - the student knows and understands the specificity of political and administrative sciences compared to other sciences and the place of labor sciences within the sciences
social.
K_W03 - the student knows and understands theories describing norms and rules organizing work and the labor market, as well as social structures and institutions created on their basis; knows their sources, understands the conditions and consequences of their use
in the areas of practical and professional activity.
K_W04 - the student knows and understands the basic institutional and organizational structures of work and the labour market, the relations between them and the dynamics of their transformations.
SKILLS:
K_U01 - the student is able to use for practical purposes knowledge in the field of labour sciences to analyze and interpret social processes and phenomena occurring in the area of work and the labor market.
K_U02 - the student is able to use the acquired knowledge in the field of labour sciences to indicate the causes of the occurrence and course of social processes and phenomena taking place in the area of work and on the labour market.
K_U04 - the student is able, based on the knowledge and skills acquired during internships, to evaluate and manage the processes taking place in the field of work and on the labour market, being aware of the normative nature of the choices made.
SOCIAL COMPETENCE:
K_K01 - the student is ready to practically use knowledge in professional activities; recognizing the importance of knowledge from the area of social sciences and work sciences in everyday functioning.
K_K02 - the student is ready to critically evaluate his knowledge and take into account the opinions of experts in determining priorities in the implementation of specific tasks.
K_K02 - the student is ready to prepare research and practical social projects related to the field of work and the labour market, using the knowledge acquired during studies and being able to
supplement, as well as effectively cooperate with other people, including obtaining knowledge from experts.
Assessment criteria
Examination at the end of classes checking knowledge of the issues covered during classes and the content of selected readings (closed and open questions), minimum 70% of correct answers.
