During the course of the course, the student will learn the rules of mutual polite / polite conduct (code of conduct) in interpersonal relations. Knowledge of these rules is conducive to creating a friendly atmosphere in direct and indirect contacts between private persons (including family life), in official relations (applicant-decision maker), in business relations (co-workers, superior-subordinate).
The subject is important for the process of building one's own image as well as the social and professional position of the individual. The essence and content of the object contribute to the deepening of such positive personal qualities of an individual as mindfulness, self-control, sensitivity. They are conducive to gaining self-confidence and freedom / fluency in the political environment
and professional (which is especially important for women). The student will receive the necessary theoretical foundation (knowledge in the field of savoir-vivre) and the possibility of consolidating it by practicing the acquired specific skills in a group, i.e. in a friendly environment.
The subject consists of 6 areas of knowledge that are filled with numerous detailed threads. The student receives simultaneously the necessary theoretical information and masters certain skills. The order in which to learn both paths is as follows:
Scope 1.
Linguistic politeness in direct contacts between individuals (e.g. the principle of precedence in interpersonal contacts, the principles of conversational cooperation; relations with the gentleman, the lady and the creation of indirect relations; formulas of greetings and farewells, polite forms in Polish culture).
Scope 2.
Self-presentation rules: incl. the procedure of greeting and saying goodbye; rules of using compliments; shaking hands and kissing hands; rules of introducing oneself and other people; use of visiting tickets; titling in conversation; the matter of switching to "you".
Scope 3.
Direct interpersonal communication (e.g. types of distance in interpersonal contacts; the importance of eye contact, the essence and rules of small-talk; linguistic correctness in conversation; non-verbal communication (elements of the so-called body language); rules of uttering and receiving criticism.
Scope 4.
Indirect interpersonal communication: incl. rules of preparing traditional and electronic correspondence and conducting telephone conversations; rules of writing courtesy letters and types of letters; titles in correspondence and in conversation; linguistic politeness in public speaking.
Scope 5.
The image in interpersonal contacts: women's dress requirements
and a man in a professional and social situation (the wording of the "dress code"); other elements of the image (accessories for clothing, decorations, personal hygiene).
Scope 6.
Rules of proper table behavior: types of social events
and official, recognizing the table setting, rules of consumption of meals and alcohol during a standing and sitting party, types of napkins and rules of their use, the art of toasting.

EK.2: The student sees and understands the capacity of the catalog, the so-called good
tone (French bon ton) (K_ W02).
EK. 3: The student receives a clear signal that the skills belonging to
the area of savoir-vivre should be assimilated and preserved constantly,
regardless of the duration of the professional activity that may be
including the sphere of politics (KW_03).

EK. 4: After completing the course, the student is prepared to
conduct in a way that makes life more bearable as well
aesthetic in the professional and private sphere (K_U01).
EK. 5: The student is able to properly behave ("find") in different
environments and in various situations (K_U02).
Competences:
EK.6: After completing the course, the student is able to build a friendly atmosphere
in professional and private environment (K_K01).
EK.7: The student is able to some extent to control the showing of emotions
(good and bad) in the professional and social environment (K_K02).
Assessment criteria
Verification of the implementation of learning outcomes takes the form of a test.
The basic condition for passing the course is the student's attendance at classes (one unexcused absence per semester is allowed). The final grade is the result of the student demonstrating knowledge of the subject by writing a test. Student activity during classes is also taken into account.
