The course is divided into three main parts:
1. United States policy (5 classes)
2. Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa policy (5 classes)
3. Asia, Australia, and Oceania policy (5 classes)
The course will analyze individual countries from these regions, taking into account selected aspects of domestic and foreign policy in an international, interregional, and global context.

The student will have:
- advanced knowledge of the historical, economic, social, and cultural determinants of political life in selected countries from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania
- advanced knowledge of the principles of operation of the state's political system and its components in selected countries from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania
- advanced knowledge of the essence of democracy, civil society, and political culture from the historical and contemporary perspectives of selected countries from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania
- advanced knowledge of the mechanisms of political action, governance, and decision-making, as well as the processes of communication in the political sphere in selected countries from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania
Student is able to:
- Identify the causes, course, and forecast phenomena related to politics in selected countries in the regions discussed.
- Use basic theoretical approaches and research methods and techniques to diagnose and forecast selected phenomena in the politics of the regions discussed.
- Identify the assumptions of various policy concepts and assess their effectiveness, as well as recognize the relationships between politics and historical, economic, social, and cultural phenomena and processes in selected regions.
The student is able to:
- observe and critically evaluate political phenomena in selected countries of the regions discussed.

Assessment criteria
Attendance is mandatory (two unexcused absences are allowed).
Active participation (preparing a presentation during each of the three parts of the course): 30%
Final test: 70%
