3. Bibliography managers as data management tools.
4. Selection of the research topic for the thesis, development of the thesis assumptions and identification of the research problem.
5. Selection of research methods and techniques to achieve the thesis objectives.
6. Providing guidelines to formulate the thesis topic, define the research hypothesis and the aim of the thesis.
7. Construction of the thesis structure - introduction, conclusion, chapter structure, table of contents.
8. Preparation of the thesis outline.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge, the student knows and understands:
- the importance of cybersecurity as an important area of knowledge in relation to other sciences (K_W01)
- methods of conducting research in the area of cybersecurity (K_W02),
- the need to build positive behaviors that affect the safe use of IT tools and solutions (K_W03),
- methods of diagnosis, analysis, assessment and risk of cyber threats (K_W05),
- regulations concerning the protection of industrial property and copyright regulations (K_W12).
Skills, the student is able to:
- use the acquired knowledge to conduct research aimed at developing and implementing cybersecurity policies in organizations (K_U01),
- conduct research in the field of analysis of cyber threat risks (K_U02).
Social competencies, the student is ready to:
- disseminate knowledge in the field of cybersecurity (K_K01),
- maintain a professional, responsible and ethical attitude in performance of professional duties (K_K02),
- use the acquired knowledge to build responsible attitudes in society regarding the use of cyberspace (K_K03).

The course literature depends on the choice of the research area for the thesis. Proposals of literature items are agreed on individually between the Supervisor of the Thesis and the student.
