Master's seminar IV 1900-3-SM4-HK
Description of general principles of scientific papers preparation (continuation of seminars I-III), the structure of the text, types of source materials, literature quoting in the text, editing principles, graphic methods.
Selection of correct methods of source material analysis concerning various aspects of research in the field of hydrology, meteorology and climatology.
Preparation and presentation of subsequent parts of the work by students. Verification of the main theses of the study. Synthesis of the obtained results.
Estimated total hours of the student work to meet the teaching effects: 4 ETCS = 4 x 25h = 100h
Total hours organized = 50 h (seminar 30h, consultations 20h) + own (independent) study or the student = 50h (literature reading, research of the material for diploma work preparation, data sources, data preparation, interpretation, and discussion of the results, editorial preparation of the text, consultations with a supervisor of the diploma work)

Assessment criteria
Requirements:
- two time presentation of the diploma work structure, research hypothesis, sources of the data, literature review.
- preparation of the seminar report
- student activity at the seminar
- two cases of absence allowed.
In case of absence, it is recommended to find a new term for presentation.
To get the grade it is required to submit the di[ploma work, accepted by the supervisor.
