City maps elaboration 1900-3-RPM-KT-W
During the course, students learn about different types of city plans and develop plan excerpts adapted to different forms of publication. They also learn about issues related to graphics and generalization of plan contents as well as designing cartographic signs.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge: after the course the student knows the basic principles of generalization and editing of city plans.
Skills: student is able to design a city plan, choose base materials, presentation methods, design signs and legend.
Student is able to evaluate this kind of map, indicate possibilities of its improvement and making it more legible. Student is a conscious user of city plans.
Assessment criteria
The course is graded on the basis of work completed and activity in class.
