The course is designed to improve the skills necessary to conduct effective research related to the doctoral dissertation. It is strictly individualised, taking into account, both relevant to the doctoral student, as well as from the supervisor's point of view, issues of scientific skills, e.g. academic writing, scientific communication and the dissemination of research results, familiarisation with the concept of data science and commercialisation of scientific results.

A DOCTORAL STUDENT KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS
WG_01 – To the extent enabling the revision of existing paradigms:
The global body of knowledge, including theoretical foundations, general issues, and selected specific topics relevant to their scientific or artistic discipline.
WG_02 – The main development trends in the scientific or artistic disciplines in which they are educated.
WG_03 – The methodology of scientific research.
WG_04 – The principles of disseminating the results of scientific activity, including open-access modes.
WK_01 – The fundamental dilemmas of contemporary civilization.
WK_02 – Economic, legal, ethical, and other key factors influencing scientific activities.
WK_03 – Basic principles of knowledge transfer to economic and social domains, as well as the commercialization of research results and associated know-how.
A DOCTORAL STUDENT IS ABLE TO
UW_01 – Use knowledge from various scientific or artistic fields to creatively identify, formulate, and innovatively solve complex problems or carry out research tasks, specifically:
Define the objective and subject of scientific research, and formulate research hypotheses.
Develop methods, techniques, and research tools and apply them creatively.
Draw conclusions based on the results of scientific research.
UW_02 – Perform critical analysis and evaluation of research results, expert activities, and other creative works, assessing their contribution to the advancement of knowledge.
UW_03 – Transfer the results of scientific activities to economic and social domains.
UK_01 – Communicate on specialized topics to the extent enabling active participation in the international scientific community.
UK_02 – Disseminate the results of scientific activities, including in popular forms.
UK_03 – Initiate debates.
UK_04 – Participate in scientific discourse.
UK_05 – Use a foreign language at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), enabling participation in international scientific and professional environments.
UO_01 – Plan and carry out individual and team research or creative projects, including in international environments.

A DOCTORAL STUDENT IS READY TO
