(in Polish) Research Ethics: Ethical review of research involving humans 1800-SZD-NP-ETWAR-5
The workshop is a part of the course on “Research ethics”. Its
primary goal is to acquaint students with the history, aims,
scope, and practice of the ethical review of human research
projects.
The workshop covers following topics: history and forms of
social control over the human research practice; ethical
principles for scientific research involving human subjects; role,
tasks, and organization of research ethics committees;
preparation of an application for ethical review from the Rector’s
Committee for the Ethics of Research Involving Human
Participants concerning the compliance of a research project
with ethical principles.
Intended audience: doctoral students engaged and/or interested
in conducting scientific research on humans, human biological
material, or personal data.

Assessment criteria
Workshops are passed (or failed) on the basis of the student’s
activity (participation in group works, class discussions, etc).
Failure to pass one or both of the workshops makes it
impossible to take the final test, and, as a result, to get a credit
for the course “Research ethics”
