Classes with students are interdisciplinary in nature. The main aim of the classes is to familiarise doctoral students with selected notions, problems, theories and research methods used in disability studies. We will look at the phenomenon of disability in the context of social changes in Poland and around the world. We will discuss how culture and the social context influence the perception and understanding of disability. During the class we will also discuss the ethical and methodological dimensions of applied and engaged sciences in the context of disability studies and the spaces associated with disability studies.
