Knowledge about local governments in the scope of doctoral thesis topics undertaken by the course participants 1600-SZD-SPEC-WT-GSE
The course of the class will largely depend on the anchoring of the topics of the doctoral dissertations carried out by the participants in local government issues. After a brief introduction (in the form of a lecture) by the teacher, the participants – especially those whose PhD’s actually fit into the above-mentioned problems – will present the specificity, quality and scale of the existing substantive and methodological frame in the scientific discourse in the discipline, present to what extent they use this knowledge (theory and practice) in the preparation of their own dissertation, followed by a discussion aimed at identifying good practices and reliable sources of information and interpretation concerning local government (in Poland and around the world) – highlighting the key research problems guiding contemporary scientific discourse in this area.
