Academic writing - individual projects 1600-SZD-SPEC-PTN-PS
The aim of this course is to support PhD students in the process of preparing research articles based on their dissertation research.
In particular, during these sessions, participants will have the opportunity to prepare their own scientific article under the guidance of the instructor and with support from fellow participants. The preparation and submission of this article to a selected academic journal will serve as the basis for passing the course.
Throughout the course, the instructor will share personal experience in academic publishing, presenting their own approach to writing scientific articles, as well as all related activities (e.g. choosing the right journal, responding to reviewers’ comments, promoting articles, etc.).
Finally, during this course, PhD students will learn how to productively navigate the coming years of their doctoral studies—not only to potentially pursue an academic career, but also to take care of their well-being and protect themselves from the risk of burnout in academia.
