Discipline seminar - law (III year) 1600-SZD-SEMIII-PR
The primary aim of the classes is to support students in the process of developing their doctoral dissertations—both in terms of content and research methodology.
Each session includes presentations of research topics, followed by in-depth discussions. During these discussions, both instructors and seminar participants offer feedback, suggestions, and comments on the presented work.
Before each class, participants receive preparatory materials. These serve two main purposes: to introduce the key issues that will be discussed during the session, and to provide insight into the current progress of the participants' doctoral research.
The classes place particular emphasis on the following aspects:
• Justifying the relevance and significance of the chosen research topic, including its formulation;
• Defining the objective of the dissertation, including research goals, questions, and hypotheses;
• Research methodology and selected methods;
• The theoretical and practical contribution of the dissertation;
• The overall structure of the thesis and its key conclusions.
