Constitutional and supranational influences in contemporary law 1600-SZD-N-KPUWP-PR
The course focuses on fundamental principles at the national and transnational levels (EU and international), such as the rule of law, the non-discrimination, the principle of economic freedom, and the right to privacy, as well as their application within specific areas of specialization. Each session includes a discussion on a topic related to transnational principles. The first session serves as an introduction to further discussions and addresses the issue of the multicentric nature of the legal order in Poland. In the subsequent sessions, principles whose sources can be found in Polish, EU, and international law and which impact various legal fields are examined. The task of students, who specialize in different legal areas according to their ongoing research projects, is to demonstrate this influence to their peers within the context of their respective specializations.
