(in Polish) Geograficzne aspekty badań nad społeczeństwem i gospodarką 1600-SZD-N-GABSG-GSE
The aim of the classes is to indicate the geographical aspects of research on society and economy. The lectures will discuss a wide range of research tools and techniques used in contemporary research on socio-economic geography and spatial management.
The research methodology concerning the following problems will be analyzed in detail:
• People in various social and economic roles - as citizens, residents, employees, entrepreneurs or consumers/customers. Changes in approaches in geographical research on social phenomena (creation of social and economic structures in space on various geographical scales from individual organizations or housing estates to global business networks and large urban organisms; neighborhoods and public spaces);
• Dynamics of processes and phenomena in geographical space (methods of measuring and interpreting flows - migrants and refugees, goods and ideas);
• Diversification of socio-economic structures, methods of measuring and interpreting the scale of concentration of phenomena; uneven development - its causes and consequences for spatial systems;
• Contemporary directions of changes in the Earth's environment due to human activity and their consequences (anthropogenic environmental changes; changes in understanding and research approaches in relation to socio-economic development).

WG_1 - to the extent that existing paradigms can be revised - world achievements, including theoretical foundations and general issues and selected specific issues of contemporary research in social and economic geography

Description of requirements related to participation in classes, including the
permitted number of explained absences; One absence permitted.
Principles for passing the classes and the subject (including resit session);
The assessment (interview) takes place during the last class.

Content and linguistic correctness of the statement (identification and analysis of the connections between the dissertation topic and the research issues of socio-economic geography and spatial management)
