Alternative organizations; The term ‘organization’ refers to a wide variety of patterns of co-ordination, yet mainstream management knowledge focuses mainly if not exclusively on a limited section of the organizational ecosystem – corporations and market managerialism. Researchers in pursuit of knowledge in and about the plethora of forms outside of this section often define their field as alternative organizations (See e.g. Parker, Cheney, Fournier and Land, 2014
