(in Polish) Ars auro prior. Wprowadzenie do filozofii sztuki. 1500-SDN-TMTB-AAP
The lecture is an introduction to the fundamental questions of the philosophy of art - the philosophy of art is not identical either to the theory of art, or to aesthetics, or to the history of art or its methodology, although these disciplines intersect in many places. The basic issues of art philosophy include such problems as e.g. the genesis of art, definitions of art, the attitude of art to nature (mimesis, conventionalism, constructivism), representation, image, expression, problems of form, the validity of the analytical distinction between form and content, the issue of artistic language. These problems will be presented on the basis of the analysis of the most important authors, starting with selected dialogues by Plato and ending with contemporary discussions, especially in the area of English-speaking analytical aesthetics.
