These classes are designed as workshops. They are designed to develop proper vocal habits and speaking techniques, essential for academic work – teaching and presenting research results. Participants learn techniques and practice breathing, phonation, resonance, and articulation exercises. The goal of these exercises is to achieve optimal body positioning for voice work, develop a proper diaphragmatic-costal breathing pattern, achieve soft voice onset and flow phonation, properly shape the resonance space of the vocal tract, improve the motor skills of the articulatory apparatus, and improve speaking technique. Exercises are conducted in lying, sitting, and standing positions.
