Academic writing 1500-SDN-AW-2026L
The course aims to develop participants’ academic writing skills in English. During the course, participants will become familiar with academic vocabulary and current English writing conventions, so they can write concisely and coherently for the target audience. Participants will analyse academic texts and write short pieces. They will receive detailed feedback from the instructor. The emphasis will be on doctoral dissertations and publications in international journals. Writing with qualitative and quantitative data will be discussed according to participants' needs and preferences.

Assessment criteria
Permitted absences: 3 classes (unexcused)
Course completion: one short written assignment
