Lectures: flowering and its molecular regulation: flower structure, transition from vegetative to generative phase, inflorescent and flower meristem, induction of flowering, MADS box transcription factors and their role in flowering process, structure and development of ovule, developmental stages of female gametophyte, structure and development of anther and developmental stages of male gametophyte, pollination and fertilization processes, development of embryo and endosperm, formation and development of seeds and fruits, germination process, epigenetic reprogramming and the role of imprinting process in the development of male and female gamethophyte.

KNOWLEDGE
1. Understanding complexity of developmental processes, the need for interdisciplinary approach, based on empirical data to find their solutions.
2. Knowing structural, genetic, metabolic and functional diversity of developing and differentiating plant organisms.
3. Understanding rules and molecular, cellular, physiological mechanisms of development and function of organisms.
4. Knowing various techniques and advanced laboratory tools used in experimental embryology of plants and planning their application in proper and efficient experiments.
SKILLS
1. Applying efficiently research and popular texts in Polish and English on developmental plant biology. Ability to communicate in English at the B2+ level.
2. Possessing skills to find in appropriate literature possible reasons for failed experiments and modify them.
3. Possessing ability of preparing presentations in Polish and English at the B2+.
4. Ability for team work on advanced projects on experimental embryology of plants.
