• Nature Conservation Act of 16 April 2004 (Journal of Laws of 2004, No. 92, item 880)
Contains general provisions, forms of nature conservation, botanical gardens, zoos, animal rehabilitation centers, protection of green areas and woodlands, nature conservation authorities, nature conservation services, combating crimes and offenses in protected areas, exercising nature conservation, managing natural resources and components, legal consequences of protection, and criminal provisions.
Implementing regulations for the Nature Conservation Act:
- Regulation of the Minister of the Environment on: species of wild plants, animals, fungi, natural habitats, and species of Community interest; criteria for selecting Natura 2000 sites; preparation of draft conservation plans for national parks, nature reserves, landscape parks, and Natura 2000 sites; imposing fines for removing trees and shrubs without the required permit and for damaging green areas; offenses punishable by fines;

Specifies the principles of preserving, protecting, and expanding forest resources, as well as the principles of forest management.
Implementing regulations to the Forest Act:
- Regulation of the Minister of the Environment concerning, among other things: the preparation of a forest management plan and the inventory of forest conditions, the principles of recognizing forests as protective and conducting forest management in them, the principles of fire protection in forests, the scope of offenses for which authorized employees are authorized to issue fines, the principles of protecting and harvesting forest undergrowth, and the principles of acquiring land designated for afforestation.
