Students will work with original research papers to learn/extend scientific terminology used in life sciences, especially biology. Students will also work individually or in groups with other types of materials as welll as on different tasks, extending their English communication skills.

Student
1. knows the basic terminology of used in biology and chemistry (K_W02)
Skills:
1. is able to search, analyze, evaluate, select and integrate information from various sources and formulate on this basis critical judgments in the field of life science (K_U01)
2. is able to read and interpret texts and write a short summary (K_U03).

Assessment criteria
The completion of the classes requires both the presence (2 absences are allowed) and the activity of the student allowing to positively assess his/her knowledge, skills, and social competences.
