Petroleum provinces of the world and in Poland 1300-WPNP-GEP
The aim of the course is to present the principles of highlighting elements of the petroleum system and to clarify the role and importance of each of these elements in the geological processes leading to the creation and preservation of hydrocarbons. Knowledge of these principles will enable the student to become acquainted with the methodology of geological work leading to the evaluation of sedimentary basins in terms of their petroleum system, ie the principles of evaluation petroleum provinces. Globally, almost two hundred petroleum provinces were distinguished. The student will have the opportunity to gather knowledge of selected petroleum provinces from all continents and cases and specific issues in petroleum geology .Comprehensive presentation of the petroleum system elements through the prism of dozens of petroleum provinces will somehow summarize the knowledge acquired in previous courses in the petroleum geology.
