Microfacies analysis of carbonate rocks 1300-TAMSW
The aim of the classes is to present to the student the multithreaded issues regarding the microfacies analysis of carbonate rocks from the Devonian of Lublin area. Numerous papers in Polish and English enable introduction of topics such as:
- basic elements of microfacies
- types of grains (allochems)
- cements,
- biogenic structures,
- mikrofacies classifications,
- application of microfacies analysis for paleoenvironmental reconstructions
- standard microfacies models,
- application of microfacies analysis for recostruction of diagenetic processes.Individual meetings will enable free discusion on scientific papers, research results and methods.
First meetings are planned as a general introduction into the microfacies analysis subject. During the consecutive meetings the student is planned to give a speech on or present the chosen topics from the list above as an introduction for further critical/questioning discussion.
