Hydrogeology in practice 1300-SP-HYP
During the lecture, the student learns the basic issues that are necessary to prepare reports carried out by hydrogeologists and approved at various levels of state administration:
The aim of the theoretical part is:
- familiarization with the specificity of various types of reports: (projects, documentation, environmental opinions, risk assessments) and discussion of the scheme of their preparation in accordance with applicable legal acts
- discussion of the scope of use of the resources of the National Geological Archives and other available databases
- familiarization with practical aspects related to assessing the correctness of preparing studies related to the construction, renovation or liquidation of wells, assessent of groundwater resources, the use of low-temperature geothermal energy, construction of roads and highways, underground waste storage.
- analysis of difficulties and most common mistakes in the discussed reports, proposal of solutions
The aim of the exercises is to use theoretical knowledge to analyze a selected document in terms of the correctness of its preparation, identify possible errors and propose their corrections.
