Geomorphology and Quaternary Geology 1300-OGGZ-GGG
The course consists of 4 thematic blocks: (1) sedimentary environments and relief forms, (2) stratigraphy and palaeogeography of the Quaternary of Poland against the background of Europe, (3) methods used in geomorphology and Quaternary geology, (4) application of geomorphology and Quaternary geology in economic activity, spatial planning and environmental management.

Learning outcomes
K_W01 - Understands physical and geological phenomena occurring in nature.
K_W02 - Knows, understands and interprets the processes and phenomena taking place in the past and present on the surface of the Earth and in its interior.
K_U01 - Can macroscopically identify minerals and rocks. Can apply appropriate classifications.
K_U02 - Can analyze the process leading to the formation of the rock and explain its origin.
K_U05 - Can independently perform geological cross-sections and interpret them using the principles of planning and intersection, can explain the history of the development of the geological structure of the area.
K_K01 - Understands the need to constantly improve his professional competences and find new technologies in order to solve research problems by reading professional literature and legal acts.
K-K03 - Can find himself in the role assigned in the team, and performs the entrusted task in a responsible and timely manner, guided by the best knowledge and skills.
Assessment criteria
Attendance control - 2 absences allowed in a semester.
Written tests and assessment of tasks performed by students (passes at least 50% of points)
As a resit - assessment of the corrected attachments, correction of the written or oral test.
