Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student:
– knows the responsibilities of a geologist on rig
– is able to perform description cuttings samples and drill cores
– is able to perform geological profile
– is able to analyze the variability of logging for geological interpretation.
Assessment criteria
The grade for the exercises is based on the semester report. The principles of preparing the report will be presented during the introductory classes. At least 50% of the possible points must be obtained from the report. The grade for the lectures is based on the points obtained from the written colloquium during the last class. At least 50% of the possible points must be obtained from passing the lectures. The final grade for the subject is based on the sum of the points from the exercises and lectures. People who receive a very good grade from the semester report are exempted from passing the lectures and receive a very good grade for the subject. The final grade for the subject is based on the sum of the points from the exercises and lectures. A positive grade can only be obtained if at least 50% of the points are obtained from both the exercises and the lectures.
