Database handling and 3D geological modeling - practikum 1300-OBDMGZP
Practical exercises of usage of the Schlumberger Petrel software will be held in 10 thematic sections. These section will cover both basic and advance geological and geophysical interpretation tools in order to construct structural and stratigraphic model of analysed deep buried structure. During the course, some practical issues of using Schlumberger Petrel software will be covered in order to analyze petroleum perspectives of prospect.

Learning outcomes
- knows how to correctly prepare and reprocess geological and geophysical data for Schlumberger Petrel
- is familiarized with the usage of critical statistical operations (such as normal score transformation and detrending) to conduct stochastic simulations of continuous and discrete variable
- can develop the 3D probability cubes to account for unstationarity and create geologically consistent lithological model
- is familiarized with methodology of empirical variogram calculation and fits theoretical model
- describes characteristic features of spatial variability of analyzed variable using empirical variogram.
