Learning outcomes
After listening to the lectures, we expect the students to be acquainted with the most interesting - according to the employees of our group - topics that are the challenges of modern crystallography. This should allow students to choose more consciously an interesting subject of crystallography, especially if they associate their future with crystallographic research.
In general, the student on completion of the course:
will knew and understood:
- to the extent enabling revisions of the existing paradigms - world achievements, including theoretical foundations and detailed issues - specific to crystallography [code P8S_WG]
- main development trends in crystallography [code P8S_WG]
- methodology of scientific research in crystallography [code P8S_WG]
can:
- make a critical analysis and evaluation of research results and their contribution to the development of knowledge [code P8S_UW]
- disseminate the results of scientific activities [code P8S_UK]
- initiate the debate [code P8S_UK]
- participate in the scientific discourse [code P8S_UK]
wiil be ready to:
- critical evaluation of the achievements within the framework of crystallography [code P8S_KK]
- recognition of the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems [code P8S_KK]
Assessment criteria
The final grade will be given on the basis of 15-minute presentation on topics related to the content of the lecture prepared by the students on the basis of 2 publications (not necessarily related to one topic) related to the topics of the lecture.
These presentations will be held during the exam session.
