During the labs students will write programs in Python. Optionally students may program in another language of their choice.
Examples solved during classes will come from life sciences and computer modeling.

Student understands essential elements of a computer program: variables and arithmetical operations, loops, conditional statements and arrays.
Student can write a simple script or program that solves a simple problem.
Assessment criteria
Grade based on a test program written by a student, depending on a difficulty level. Only two absences are allowed.
