Application of SEM and EDS in Chemical Analysis 1200-2MON30L
During the lecture, principle of operation of scanning electron microscope SEM and transmission electron microscope TEM will be explained and differences between electron and light microscopes will be described. Examples of use of SEM in studies of material science, chemical analysis, medicine and biology will be presented. The program will also include issues relating to scanning probe microscopy, X-ray microanalysis used in electron microscopy, electron diffraction, processing samples in scanning electron microscopy and transmission.
