Heat transfer theory, and heat transfer actions. Thermochemistry, thermochemical measurements and references. Additives in thermochemistry. Classification of calorimeters: constant-flow, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Methods of calorimetrical measurements.
Colloidal state definition. Colloids: classification, receiving methods. Thermodynamically stable disperse systems. Micellar systems structural parameters. Structure of natural membranes. Micells, reversed micelles, lipids vesicles, double layer - natural membranes modeling systems.
Classifications of surfactants, their structures and properties depending on the solvent polarity.
The biologically active compounds solvation in the systems mimicking natural membranes - investigations with calorimetric methods.
Estimated student workload per semester: 75 hours, including:

To get knowledge of the applications of calorimetric methods in the investigation of transfer phenomena and thermodynamics of colloidal systems containing natural compounds.
