(in Polish) Kataliza i biokataliza 1200-2BLOK3-WW1
The phenomenon of catalysis and electrocatalysis as well as the use of noble metal nanoparticles as catalysts of redox reactions will be discussed. Redox enzymes used in bioelectrocatalysis and bioelectrosynthesis, methods for determining their catalytic activity and applications in biocells and biosensors will be presented. In addition, selected electrocatalytic processes will be discussed, with particular emphasis on processes occurring in fuel cells. Selected other catalytic reactions, such as low-temperature conversion of carbon dioxide into simple fuels, the Fischer-Tropsch reaction and nitrogen reduction to ammonia will also be discussed. Theories related to possible correlation between surface properties and catalytic properties will be presented.
