Prerequisites (description)

Basic computer skills. The ability to use email, basic knowledge of web browsers and office suites, and the ability to install programs on your own. Knowledge of mathematics at a high school level.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student:
- knows and understands: K_W04: computer techniques useful in a chemist's work; K_W19: Tools and methods for data acquisition, processing, and presentation. Recognizes issues related to online safety and privacy;
- is able to: K_U18: perform data analysis using IT techniques; K_U21: independently acquire knowledge and develop professional skills, using various sources (written and electronic), including those in a foreign language.
