Students prepare a presentation in which they discuss the scientific problem that is the topic of their project. The topic of the project is established by a tutor and its details should be discussed with a student. The project may be prepared in a form of literature revlew or may also include results of experimental or theoretical works carried out in the laboratory. In the presentation students describe the scientific problem that is connected with their project and present results of their own studies. All students are encouraged to actively participate in the discussion.

The student knows and understands:
K_W01 the role and place of chemistry in the structure of exact and natural sciences and its contribution to the development of our civilization. Knows basic chemical concepts and laws, knows chemical symbolism, nomenclature, and notation, and knows and understands the notation of chemical reactions.
K_W04 computer techniques useful in the work of a chemist.
K_W16 ethical principles and norms related to research and teaching.
K_W19 tools and methods of acquiring, processing, and presenting data. Recognizes issues related to security and privacy on the Internet.
Can:
K_U01 apply the laws of chemistry learned in the analysis of selected chemical problems.
K_U19 present the results of their own research in the form of a paper/presentation containing a description and justification of the purpose of the work, the adopted methodology, and the results, and discuss their significance in comparison to other similar studies.
K_U20 express themselves precisely and coherently, both orally and in writing, on topics related to chemical problems, using specialized terminology.
K_U21 independently acquire knowledge and develop professional skills, using various sources (written and electronic), including those in a foreign language.
K_U23 prepare oral presentations in Polish and English on topics related to selected chemical issues, using basic theoretical approaches and using various sources.
K_U25 express opinions on professional issues and argue for them in both specialist and non-specialist circles.
K_U26 is able and willing to continuously improve their skills and independently search for information in literature, including foreign languages.

Final estimate is based on the quality of presentation and active participation in the discussions.
